About Pixel Works
The genesis of this work is the surveillance camera positioned directly above the installation. When viewed from a specific point, the resulting image forms the scene captured by the camera with René Magritte's La Reproduction Interdite. The concept of Pixel Works intersects with themes such as "surveillance society," "virtual reality," and "surrealism."
この作品は、インスタレーションの真上にある監視カメラが構想のきっかけになった。ある一点から作品を見たときに結像するイメージは、監視カメラによって写し出されたその場の光景と、ルネ・マグリッド《La Reproduction Interdite (複製禁止) 》のイメージを掛け合わせたものである。《​​​​​​​Pixel Works》のコンセプトが、「監視社会」「仮想現実」「シュルレアリスム」など様々なテーマと重なり合っている。
